Rep. Atkins lauded Governor Tim Pawlenty for his willingness to assist Minnesota residents in re-importing prescription drugs at far lower prices from Canada. However, unlike the Governor, Atkins believes the program should apply to all Minnesotans, not just state employees and the uninsured. He is introducing legislation to help every Minnesotan save money on prescription drugs and lower their health care costs.
Rep. Atkins agrees with Gov. Pawlenty's Canadian drug plan, but goes further.
Joe believes doctors and patients should be making important health care decisions, not HMO's.
